Sophia – Pregnancy Loss Support aims to support anybody who has experienced the tragic loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, TFMR, still birth and neonatal death. The charity is run by bereaved parents who have suffered the heartbreak of losing a child and know how important support is for those families. We offer monthly support groups and closed facebook groups for families to share experiences and thoughts with other families. We hold charity events to raise awareness as no family should suffer alone and to break the silence on such a taboo subject.

Michele founded her virtual assistant business I’m Your P.A. Limited in 2007. Now in its fourteenth year, the company supports nearly 200 businesses with call handling and administrative services and employs a team of nine.

Michele attributes the success of the business to networking, known as “The Networking Queen” she regularly supports and trains others to grow their businesses through networking.

My name is Lauren, I’m 28 years old and in 2017 I started my first business with an 11-week-old baby in tow. Three and a half years later and I am now the director of two Limited Companies.

My first company is Laurella Mama, a fashion brand and boutique designed to give mums their confidence back with fashion that is kind on tummies, practical to run around after little ones, and also allows mums to breastfeed as and when they need to. I was inspired by my own experiences and lack of body confidence after having my first baby. From a set of plastic drawers in my spare room to a warehouse with a team of staff, it’s been an amazing business journey filled with learning curves and lots of female empowerment.

My second company is The Zesty Boss, a coaching platform for small business owners to come and learn from my business experiences and knowledge. I run courses, 1-1 coaching calls & I’m soon to be releasing a small-business-specific stationery range.

I started by business journey with one baby, and I now have two beautiful girls under the age of three. With two young children and two businesses, life is a whirlwind. But I love that I have been able to give myself the ability to be at home with my children, and also achieve the goals I have always dreamed of. This is the reason I got in touch with the Family Network back in 2018, to meet with business owners who also had families to think about and work to balance.
Dave Sharpe is a familiar face to members of The Family Network… you will usually find him on-stage emceeing our annual Business Recognition Awards.

But in 2021 Dave is the poacher turned gamekeeper and has joined our esteemed panel of judges!

Dave is no stranger to running a business. In 2006 he founded Sharpe Publishing, producing a series of successful magazines for South Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

In 2010 he sold the company to focus solely on his career as an MC, BBC Broadcaster and Speaker Coach.

Having shared the stage with past finalists and winners of The Family Network Awards, Dave knows exactly what to look for in those whose enter.

And Dave is an award-winner himself. In 2020 he received our prestigious Outstanding Contribution Award for his work with The Family Network.
